I passed Pragna 3 and I have SEeR account. If I wish to retake the exams, do I need to create new SEeR account?

  • No, you do not need to create another or duplicate SEeR account. You can log in to your existing account and register for Prarambh or Pragna 1.
  • But if you have passed Pragna 3 exam before 2010, you need to create a new SEeR account and mention your past record like your full name: first, middle and last at the time of last exam, date of birth, approximate year of last exam, exam center name and exam name.

What is the age criteria for Prarambh exam eligibility?

Any person age 14 and above can register for Prarambh exam.

How do I communicate with SEeR Admin?

  • You can communicate using Message Center. Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, then click on “Create New Request”. Select appropriate subject from drop down menu and in the comment box write the question including detail.
  • Ensure your e-mail address in your profile is correct and valid. Important notifications will be sent to your e-mail address.

What do I do if I have any questions pertaining to satsang exams?

What is the criteria for Substitute Writer approval?

It is imperative for an examinee to send details like, what kind of difficulty he/she has in writing the exam paper. It may be medical challenges or old age. Requests must be made no less than seven days before actual exam date. Without written authorization from the Exam Division, no one can have a substitute writer.

What are the protocols for Substitute Writer?

  • Selection of a substitute writer is unanimously decided by the Mandir Coordinator, Satsang Admin, and Satsang Exam Coordinator. The Exam Supervisor should be notified in advance for this procedure.
  • The Substitute Writer must be a person who is sincere, has never taken the Satsang Exams, and is completely unfamiliar about Satsang knowledge.
  • The Substitute Writer should not provide any hints or clues to the examinee when answering the questions.
  • The Substitute Writer must be the same throughout the exam paper and written only by that one person. Answer papers with two distinct hand writings will not be accepted.
  • Make sure to read all the detailed instructions on the Substitute Writer form and follow all the procedures. Please do not send the form after it is completed. Keep the original form and attached it to examinee’s answer paper 1 and 2.

How can I make a request for Substitute Writer?

Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, and then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Substitute Writer Request” and in the comment box write down the detail information regarding your disability for writing the answer paper. Contact your local exam coordinator for substitute writer form which needs to be attached to the answer sheet on exam day.

Which website do I login to register myself and prepare for satsang exam?

How can I log into my account?

There are two ways to log into your account using Satsang Exam website, https://www.bapssatsangexams.org.
  • Click on “SIGN IN” button on top right hand side corner; enter your Username and Password.
  • Locate the “SEeR Sign In” box on right hand bottom corner; enter your Username and Password. Then click on “SIGN IN” button.

What do I do if I forget my username and password?

  • Go to SEeR website (https://www.bapssatsangexams.org) homepage and click “Forgot Password” button to retrieve username and password. New page will pop up to recover your account. Enter your e-mail address which is associated with your SEeR account. Click “Recover Account” button. Check your e-mail message from noreply@bapssatsangexams.org and reset your password.
  • You can also contact your local exam coordinator. He/she can reset password.

I cannot log in to my account due to several attempts of invalid password and it is now locked. How can I make a request to unlock?

Click on “CONTACT” button highlighted in red line on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org then complete the form and in subject drop down menu select “Login Problem” and in the comment box write appropriate remark and press “SEND” button.

How can I change my password?

Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. On the top right corner click on your name and from the dropdown menu select “Change Password”. Or contact your local exam coordinator.

My Username was created incorrectly. Can I change my Username?

Username is unique in the system. You may request to change your Username. If system has availability of your choice, then we can change it. Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, and then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Miscellaneous” and in the comment box write your new Username and include all details.

Who is eligible for online registration on Satsang Exam e-Registration (SEeR) website?

Satsang Exam e-Registration is for everone depending upon their MArch or July eligibility. All examinees living in Africa & Middle East, Asia Pacific, UK-Europe, and North America global networks can register on SEeR website: https://www.bapssatsangexams.org

Is on-line registration available for those residing in India?

The current more traditional in-person registration system is able to accommodate those from both small towns as well those in the city and remains to be highly effective. For this reason registration in India remains in paper-form. Satsang Exam e-Registration (SEeR) is currently active for foreign countries only.

What information do I need, before I complete online registration?

  • Since you can create permanent online account once in your lifetime, be honest and complete all the details accurately. Recall your memory to check if you ever appeared or registered for Satsang Exam in your lifetime.
  • If you have registered, then provide: Approximate year of exam, exam center, country, last exam name, and permanent six digit seat number (if you know).
  • Did you use different name at the time of last exam? If yes, then please specify (for married female, provide full name before marriage): first name, full middle name, and last name. Make sure your contact information: e-mail ID is valid and phone number is correct.
  • Once you submit registration form, your local exam coordinator will contact you to verify the data for initial activation and further approval.

I have completed online registration for first time on Satsang Exam e-Registration (SEeR) website but I did not receive any response. What should I do?

Once you submit One Time Individual Submission (OTIS) form, it goes to Pending List. You should receive an e-mail notification from consisting registration related questions. Reply query message from SEeR Admin immediately. Registration cannot be processed, without your response. Your OTIS form will remain in our Pending List. You may also contact your exam coordinator. He/she can verify your form and process for further approval. Once all your required information is verified, it will be processed and you will be able to log in to your account.

I passed one or more Satsang exams longtime ago. Don’t remember the year. Can you find my past result history? Can I get the credit for these exams and start from where I left?

Yes! Exam Division has complete records for all years since 1972. You need to provide your past exam details like: Your full name: first, middle and last at the time of last exam, date of birth, approximate year of last exam, exam center and exam name. Once we find your past record and it is confirmed, your validation will be updated to the next exam. Make sure to mention your past record during registration.
Contact us via https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click “CONTACT” button highlighted in red line. Fill out the form and from drop down menu select “Miscellaneous” and in the comment box write your past details as mentioned.

Last year, I registered for both papers of Pragna exams but after the corrections closing date I found that I am actually registered for only paper 1. What do I do to avoid this happening in future?

You can avoid this happening by verifying your status by the following means:
  • Check the status of your registration by logging in your account after you register for exams. Click “REGISTER FOR EXAM” button. This page has all exam details.
  • You will also get reminder emails from SEeR admin stating which exam you have registered for.
  • Your exam coordinator will post the list in the foyer after the registration deadline is over and also before the exam.

I passed one or more objective style Satsang exams from UK-Europe during 2001 to 2011. Can I get credit for these exams and start from where I left?

You can get credit for Prarambh, Pravesh and Parichay exams only. If you wish to continue for Pragna 1 exam, then you need to pass India based Pravin exam. You need to provide detail information of your last exam passed, like: Your full name: first, middle and last at the time of last exam, date of birth, approximate year of last exam, exam center and exam name.

I passed one or more Satsang exams longtime ago and I forgot everything. I wish to start from Prarambh exam. Can I do that?

No! You are not permitted to re-appear for an exam level that you have already cleared until you pass all exams up to Pragna 3. Please provide whatever you remember to locate your past exam history during registration process.

I read all Satsang publications and have deep knowledge of Satsang. Can I skip first three exams and begin with Pravin or Pragna exam?

No! You must pass all exams in sequence from Prarambh to Pragna 3. An examinee must pass the preceding exam to become eligible for the next level.

Years back I passed Pravin exam with second class. Can I register for Pragna 1 exam even if I did not get first class?

Yes! Now all examinees who have passed Pravin exam can appear for the Pragna 1 exam.

I appeared for some exams in India and now I migrated to an overseas exam center. Can I register for exam where I left?

Yes! You can register for next level of exam from where you left. You need to provide your past exam details like: Your full name: first, middle and last at the time of last exam, date of birth, approximate year of last exam, exam center and exam name.

I passed Pragna 3 exam. Can I repeat from Prarambh or from Pragna 1?

Yes! Once you passed Pragna 3, you have an option to start from Prarambh or Pragna 1. If you start with Prarambh then must pass the exams in sequence from Prarambh to Pragna 3.

I am not computer savvy and I do not have e-mail ID. How can I register for Satsang Exam?

You can contact your local Satsang Exam Coordinator. He/she can create your Secondary account without e-mail ID. Provide accurate personal information at the time of creating online account. Once your account is processed, you will be able to log in to your account and access all information. However you will not able to receive auto notifications from the system.

I created my online account few years back. Now I migrated to another global network. E.g. Africa to North America/UK-Europe. Can I keep my same account and register for upcoming exam?

Yes! You can use your existing account and register. Please do not create another or duplicate account. You have an option to change your exam center at the time of registration. You can also follow this process: Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, and then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Exam Center Change” and in the comment box write down the center name you want to change. Make sure you update your contact information in your profile.

When does registration start? When does it close?

  • Generally registration begins on the day result is declared which is May 15th. Registration closing date is October 1st for first time examinees who are registering in SEeR system for the first time.
  • For existing examinees who have SEeR accounts in the system, closing date is November 1st.

How do I register for next exam?

  • Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “REGISTER FOR EXAM” button highlighted in red line. Select appropriate Language, center and credit card information and submit.
  • If you passed or registered for satsang exam before 2010 then you will have to create a new OTIS profile in SEeR database.
  • Contact your local exam coordinator if you need help.

How do I check the status of my registration?

Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “REGISTER FOR EXAM” button highlighted in red line. This page will tell you the status of upcoming exam registration: whether it is completed or ‘not registered’ or pending due to unpaid exam fees.

When is the last day to cancel my registration?

November 1stis the last day to make request for registration cancellation.

How do I request to cancel my registration for current year?

Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Delete Registration for Current Year” and in the comment box write the remark including the reason for deletion. Make a note that this request is time sensitive. Registration will not be cancelled, after November 1st.

If I cancel my registration, do I get a refund of my exam fee?

No. Exam fees are non-refundable.

When is the closing date for Language change, Center change and Pragna Paper change?

November 15th is the closing date for such changes. Confirm your exam details in your login account like: Exam level, language, center change request, Pragna exam first paper or second paper or both papers before November 15th. This is the last day to make all kind of exam detail changes. After November 15th records will be merged for Final List and Exam Division start printing barcoded top sheets for all examinees. Hence it is not possible to change any exam details after November 15th.

What do I do if I want to change my exam center?

  • Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Exam Center Change” and in the comment box write down the name of center you want to change.
  • Make sure you update your contact information including your new home address and phone number in your profile unless it is a temporary exam center change.
  • Contact your exam coordinator. He/she can also help you out.

I registered through my SEeR account but during exam time I will be in India. Can I appear for exam in India?

Yes! There are only limited exam centers available for March exam in India. Closing time for this request is January 5th. However your profile will not be updated. This is a temporary exam center change request.

What do I do if my exam validation is incorrect?

You should immediately inform this to SEeR Admin. Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, and then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Exam Validation Discrepancy” and in the comment box write down about the exam validation. Please note that after November 15th Exam Validation Discrepancy will not be resolved.

What do I do if I want to change my Pragna Exam Paper?

Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Pragna Paper Change” and in the comment box write down the specific change like: Paper 1 Only or Both Papers. Make a note that closing date for Pragna Paper change is November 15th.

What do I do if I want to change my Language preference?

From drop down menu select “Language Change” and in the comment box write down the specific change like: Gujarati, English or Hindi. Make a note that closing date for language preference change is November 15th.

I am in UK-Europe global network, can I pay my exam fees using PayPal without a PayPal account?

Yes! It is commonly misunderstood that a PayPal account is needed in order to make payments through PayPal. The truth is you DO NOT need one. Without a PayPal account, all you need is any Credit card which is supported by PayPal. By using PayPal, we can process your registration. PayPal is the easiest and most secure way to make payment online. No account needed. After making credit card payment you can also check the status of your registration on “REGISTER FOR EXAM” page in your account.

I am in North American global network, can I pay my exam fees using Credit card?

Yes! USA and Canada examinees can pay exam fees by credit card. Once your payment is processed, you will received an e-mail notification for exam fee acknowledgement. You can also check the status of your registration on “REGISTER FOR EXAM” page in your account. SEeR website https://www.bapssatsangexams.org is secure site with HTTPS. Data sent using HTTPS is secure with three key layers of protection: Encryption, Data Integrity and Authentication.

I registered through my SEeR account and paid exam fees by Credit card but my registration status is unpaid and pending. What should I do?

Contact SEeR Admin using Message Center. Click on “Envelop” icon from your SEeR account and then click “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select the subject “Any Discrepancy” and in the comment box write all the details. Also send copy of credit card payment receipt to SEeR Admin if requested.

What are the protocols for Pragna exams registrations and grading policy?

  • Examinees, as per their choice can register for both the Question Papers in the same year or register for the 1st paper in the first and the 2nd paper in the following year for any of the Pragna Exams. One can only register for the 2nd paper after passing the 1st Paper. Examinees opting to register for only one of the two papers for any of the Pragna examinations must score 45 Marks to pass.
  • Examinee should make his/her choice while registration. Pragna examinee can choose paper 1 or both papers. Select accordingly when registering for exams. Examinees who have registered for both papers of Satsang Pragna Exam should appear for both papers. Presence in only one paper will not be considered valid. Examinees who appear for both papers in the same year must score a combined minimum of 90 Marks to pass.
  • After passing the 1st paper, one can postpone appearing for the 2nd paper for a maximum of 1 Year.
  • If two examinees are eligible for a prize then the one who has appeared for both exams together will be rewarded with 10% marks and thus become eligible to get the prize.

I have two SEeR accounts. What should I do? Can I consolidate my records in to one?

You should immediately inform to SEeR Admin. Each examinee should have only one SEeR account. We can merge yours two different result history into one and remove second account. Sign into one of your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, then click on “Create New Request” then from drop down menu select “Duplicate Record Removal” and in the comment box write the duplicate account seat number and username with other details.

How can I edit my personal information like address change, contact information and e-mail ID?

Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Select “MY PROFILE”, then “EDIT PROFILE”. Make necessary changes and click on “SAVE” option at the bottom left hand corner.

When I try to update my e-mail address in my profile, the message pops “E-mail ID already exist”. What should I do?

E-mail address is unique in the system. Your e-mail ID must have been used in some one’s profile in the system. You need to report this issue to SEeR Admin. Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, and then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Update E-mail ID in My Profile” and in the comment box write all the details and provide your new e-mail ID which you wish to update.

How do I request to change my: First, Middle or Last name?

Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select the appropriate subject “Name Change Due to Error” or “Name Change Due to Marital Status” and in the comment box, write in detail the reason for name change.

Why do I need to provide my full middle name?

Full middle name is required for exam database. With many examinees having common first and last names, it becomes essential to have full middle name especially unique identifiers. Full middle name for unmarried examinee is his/her father’s name and for married female it should be spouse name. System will not accept the initials as middle name.

Do I need to provide reason for middle and last name change? Why?

Yes. It is preferable to provide reason for name change. E.g. whether it is due to marital status or typo error.

My birth year is incorrect. How do I request to change?

Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Year of Birth Change” and in the comment box write down the details.

My gender is incorrect. How do I request to change?

Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Gender Change” and in the comment box write down the details.

What do I do if my account is Secondary?

You can request to convert your account to primary by providing your valid e-mail ID. Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Update E-mail ID in My Profile” and in the comment box write your valid e-mail address.

Where do I find general exam rules?

Is it necessary that I should obtain the signature of exam Supervisor on my answer paper?

Yes! It is essential to obtain the signature of the exam supervisor on the cover sheet for the exam to be VALID. Signature is the authentication of answer paper. Answer paper without Supervisor's signature will not be considered valid for grading.

What is my answer paper validation protocol?

Satsang exam is valid only if the paper written by the candidate identified on the top sheet, at the designated center, in the specified language (Gujarati, Hindi, and English) and for the exam level (e.g. Prarambha, Pravesh, Parichay, etc.) indicated. Any difference will not be considered valid. Verify your profile on the question paper before you start answering the question paper. If any information is incorrect, please contact your local exam coordinator immediately.

Can I get additional papers to write the answers?

No! Additional papers are not permitted. Examinees are expected to write in the space provided in the question paper. Normally the answer always fit in the space provided. Answers written on additional paper will not be considered valid.

What are the writing utensils in the exam?

Examinee is allowed to write answers with either a blue or black pen only. Answers written in pencil or with a red, green or any other colored pen will not be considered valid. Answers written in more than one colored ink too will not be considered valid.

What are the etiquettes for answering questions?

Examinee is expected to write clearly, legibly and must pay close attention to all given instructions. Answers crossed out will not be considered valid. Do not write your name anywhere in or on the answer book. Do not in any way damage the bar code printed on the front page. Answer papers without the signature of the Exam Supervisor will be not considered VALID.

Can the examinee chose to write in a different language then what they had chosen during registration? (For example: if registered in English and writing in Gujarati/transliteration wherever convenient).

No, examinee is expected to write their answers in the language he/she chose during the registration. Transliteration is not accepted. For example: English 'LIPI' like “Bhagwan ne bhagwan na sant ej kalyankari chhe”. These types of answers will not be graded. All answers should be written in the language chosen during registration.

Can I use my laptop/cell phone during exam?

No! All electronic devices including cell phones are to be turned off and put away. A computer/laptop is not permitted in the Exam Center.

How do you define dishonesty during exam?

Any examinee suspected of/or caught cheating (including using unauthorized materials during the exam) will be discharged from the Exam Center and his/her results will not be declared.

How can we make exam environments peaceful?

One of the purposes of the Exam Center is to provide you with a quiet and undisturbed environment. Please do not speak, talk or otherwise make any other noises that would disturb other examinees.

When should I report to exam center on exam day? What is tardiness policy?

The Examinee is expected to take all exams at the scheduled times 8:15 AM. If the examinee is more than 15 minutes late for an exam, he/she will not be admitted to take the exam. If the examinee is less than 15 minutes late, he/she may take the exam but will not receive any additional time to finish. The exam will end for all examinees at the same time.

What is the exam day schedule?

Exam day schedule is 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for first paper and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM for second papers. Examinee must be present to take the exam during this time frame.

I have unavoidable circumstances to appear for exam. Can I make-up the exam?

No! There is no make-up exam. Schedule on exam day is 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for first paper and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM for second paper. Examinee must be present to take the exam during this time frame. Examinee is not allowed to take exam beyond this time. Examinations taken at unauthorized locations or in which the exam rules have been violated will not be considered valid.

When are the Satsang exam results declared?

Generally exam result will be posted in your SEeR account by May 15th.

How do I get my result?

Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “RESULT” button highlighted in red line.

What is the grading policy?

  • Passing Marks: 45 - 59%
  • First Class: 60 - 69%
  • Distinction: 70% and above
  • Fail: 44% or below

I was present on exam day and wrote answers but my result shows absent. Why?

  • Examinees who have registered for both papers of Pragna exam, and examinees registered for Satsang Pravesh, Parichay and Pravin exams should give both papers. Presence in only one paper is not considered valid and hence are marked absent.
  • If you have written both papers and it shows absent, then contact SEeR Admin. Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon and then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Any Discrepancy” and in the comment box write down the details.

How do I make a request to re-check my paper?

Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Paper Recheck Request” and in the comment box write the comment including exam paper details. Please send the recheck request within 20 days of the result declaration.

Why is my result deferred? How can I get my result?

Result is deferred due to violation of general exam rules. Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Result Deferred: Pardon & Declaration” and in the comment box write down the detail.

My exam certificate is lost. How can I get the new one?

  • Exam certificates are printed once a year after the result is announced. Certificates are mailed to Satsang Exam Coordinator who is responsible to hand them in to all examinees. You can request for replacement through Message center. Exam division will try to print and send it to Satsang Exam Coordinator along with yearly batch but it is not guaranteed.
  • Sign in to your account on https://www.bapssatsangexams.org. Click on “Envelop” icon, then click on “Create New Request”. From drop down menu select “Exam Certificate Not Received” and in the comment box write down the detail.

Under what circumstances would a ‘No Result’ appear for the examinee under the Results section

No results would appear under the following instances:
  • Answers written with pencil or multi-color ink except blue/black color ink.
  • Answer paper without a supervisor's signature.
  • Cheating/dishonesty reported or suspected case.
  • Handwriting mismatch, ex: more than one person’s hand writings in answer sheet.
  • Answer paper written by Substitute Writer without approval.
  • Exam Center change without approval.
  • Language preference change without approval.
  • Pragna Exam Paper change without approval.
  • Extra examinee/unregistered examinees.
  • Examinations taken at unauthorized location or in which the exam rules have been violated.
  • Examinees who have registered for both papers of Satsang Pragna Exam and examinees sitting the Satsang Pravesh, Parichay and Pravin exams should give both papers. Presence in only one paper will not be considered valid for Result.
  • No valid registration!!! No Result.

Why the Pre-Test is very important?

Pre-test question papers are similar to Final exam format. It is a practice test for examinees who wish to obtain higher grade. Significant percentage of questions will be asked in the Final exam from the respective pre-test papers. It is highly recommended that examinee must prepare and appear for this test. Pre-test preparation motivates for Final exam.

When the Pre-Test papers are available?

Each year Pre-test papers are uploaded in examinee’s SEeR account by December 1st.

Why are essays in Pre-test papers important?

Final exams papers from Pravesh to Pragna 3 have one essay question of 15 marks in paper one. Each year Exam Division publishes a list of three essay topics and materials for each exams in Gujarati language by November 1st. By December 1st all these essays are translated in English and uploaded along with Pre-test papers in examinees’ SEeR accounts. It is guaranteed that out of these three essays, one essay is always asked in Final exam.
